A journey of grace, healing & hope...

I grew up knowing and loving God. From a young age, I believed in Him, gave my heart to Jesus and often felt His presence in my life. Church was a big part of my world growing up—I was involved in youth group and church life, surrounded by a strong faith community throughout my teen years.

But like many people, I faced pain and brokenness. In my early 20s, I began to drift—searching for love, identity, and meaning in all the wrong places. Alcohol became an escape, numbing my pain while making me feel less inhibited, and way more outgoing and "fun," at least on the surface.

I had grown up in an alcohol-free home, so it wasn't something I expected to become part of my life. But after some wounding experiences, I embraced it quickly—no hesitation, no second thoughts. I leaned into it—drinking felt like relief, like I could finally let go of everything I didn't want to feel. But gradually, the lines began to blur—between relief and regret, between who I really was and who I thought I needed to be.

What started as a way to cope soon became a vicious cycle—leading me into a dark, destructive season of my life. Partying, drinking and chasing fleeting happiness left me emptier and with that emptiness came a deep sense of hopelessness. Along the way, I grew cynical toward men because of past disappointments and hurts, and my low self-worth made it hard to trust or believe I deserved better.

While out one night, I met a guy with beautiful, kind, unforgettable green eyes—not like anyone I'd met before. He was patient, kind, and genuinely lovely — a really good guy, which meant a lot, because by that stage I’d developed a bit of a bad attitude toward men and didn’t really trust them. God’s timing was perfect. We both loved going out and having fun — drinking and partying was something we shared from the very start. But there was so much more to it than that; looking back, I can see that God had brought this man into my life. I’m so thankful for him and for the life we get to share — through every joy and every challenge, God has held us steady.

He blessed us with two beautiful children. Becoming a mum was one of the most wonderful and humbling gifts of my life, and to this day, I’m still in such awe that He chose me for that role.

But even with that joy, the struggle didn't go away. Without Jesus at the centre of our lives, and with alcohol still lingering in the picture, things stayed heavy. I felt like I was walking through life with a weight no one could see—carrying shame, anger, resentment and unforgiveness.

I can see now how much of those years I spent doing things my own way, keeping God at a distance, and learning the hard way that choices have consequences.

Past experiences, brokenness and regret had piled up and I felt crushed under it all.

Through everything, I felt God gently drawing me back—inviting me into His love and offering something better.

I’d started watching preaching clips on YouTube, and God spoke straight to my heart through them. The preachers shared verses from the Bible, and those words cut through all the fear, guilt, regrets, and unforgiveness I’d been carrying. They went right to the heart of what I was feeling and thinking, helping me see where I needed healing and forgiveness.

Around the same time, I started coming across Christian songs—some new, and others I hadn’t heard in years—and I just couldn’t stop listening. I played them on repeat, and the words brought such peace. God was using those anointed songs and verses from the Bible—His Word—to reach me, to remind me of His love, and to gently draw me closer to Him. I started journaling too, writing down verses and little notes about what really spoke to me.

I finally reached a point where I didn’t want to carry the weight of it all anymore. I knew I had to lay it all down—I knew I needed Jesus.

That moment of surrender changed everything. He didn't meet me with judgement. He met me with grace. He didn't wait for me to clean up the mess—He stepped right into it with love and mercy.

I cried out to God—desperately—it wasn’t a fancy prayer, just a real cry from my heart, finally ready to turn back to Him. I had come to the end of myself.
In that moment, I repented of my sin and surrendered my life to Jesus, trusting Him completely. He took my shame and sin, and gave me forgiveness, freedom, and new life.

I felt so FREE—like the weight had been lifted.

His love and forgiveness surrounded me like nothing else ever had. His grace met me right where I was, and I felt truly free.

Everything began to shift in my heart. His love started transforming me from the inside out.

In the Bible it says:

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.—Hebrews 4:12

The Bible came alive—speaking to me with truth, hope and love. What once felt distant became deeply personal. His Word became my light and comfort.

God can take a hard, closed-off heart and make it soft and tender.

As He says: 'I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.' —Ezekiel 36:26

In a heart like this life begins to change—God's love eases the heaviness, giving the desire and strength to love Him, obey Him and love others.

Jesus said this:

'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'— John 8:12

That’s exactly what happened—His light met me in the dark and led me into a life I didn’t think was possible.
Even though I was only drinking socially a few times a year by then, I knew deep down that my relationship with alcohol wasn't healthy—mentally, physically, or spiritually. I couldn't ignore the way it had affected me over the years, and I realised that to truly move forward, it needed to stop completely—something I honestly never thought I'd be able to do. But as the next year unfolded, God kept working on my heart. I made the decision to let it go altogether—and by His grace, I haven’t looked back. I stopped craving the things that once numbed me. The desire for old habits lost its grip. Instead, I found myself hungry for more of God.

Through all of it, my husband has been such a steady support. It hasn't always been easy, but he stood by me—with strength, love and so much patience. I'm honestly just so thankful for how he walked through it all with me (and continues to). That kind of support means more than I can really put into words.

We are so blessed and so grateful for our parents, family and friends—for their prayers, love, and support always. And for others God has placed around us, who’ve been such a blessing along the way.

Over time, God's been healing me, restoring what was broken, and helping me walk in freedom, purpose and a real, growing relationship with Him...

I’ve been learning to keep my eyes on Jesus and to keep surrendering things to Him along the way. It’s not about being perfect, but trusting Him to guide me, help me, and keep changing my heart.

When I gave my life to Jesus, He didn’t just forgive me—He gave me a new identity. I’m not defined by my past anymore. I’m His.

Have you heard the saying, 'If you keep looking in the rearview mirror, you'll crash'? That's me sometimes—glancing back at mistakes or what I could've done differently. But God's teaching me to keep my eyes forward and trust Him, taking life one step at a time and relying on His grace.

That doesn't mean I've suddenly got it all together—far from it. I still have hard days and I don't always get things right. I'm very much a work in progress. Being a Christian doesn't mean I think I'm better than anyone. It just means I know I need Jesus—every single day.

These days, so many people are searching—exploring different beliefs, practices, and ways to find meaning and peace, hoping to discover something that truly satisfies.
Some chase happiness through success or relationships, but still feel empty. Others are quietly battling anxiety or depression, wondering why even the good things don't heal them or fill the void inside.

There are so many voices out there, but—

Jesus made it clear:

Jesus isn't just one option—He's the way to real peace, deep joy and a restored relationship with God. Only He can fill the emptiness inside. Through Him, we can be forgiven, made right with God and truly whole. And anyone who trusts Him can have it.

And the beautiful thing—He doesn't leave us to do life on our own. When you give your life to Him, His Holy Spirit comes to live in you—helping, guiding and gently changing you from the inside out.

I'm learning to live in His love and grace—not because I've earned it, but because He's kind, merciful and full of compassion.

Because of Jesus, I'm fully known, fully loved, and made right with God. And He offers that same grace to anyone—it's a gift you can say yes to.

Maybe you've been there too—carrying a lot, holding it all together, but deep down wondering, 'Is there more to life than just surviving?'...'Is there more to life than this?'

Life can be full of questions, heartbreak, and unexpected turns. There are seasons that completely shake us to our core—grief we didn’t see coming, disappointment that lingers, moments that leave us feeling lost or like we’re not enough.

But we’re not here by accident.

The beauty, detail, and design in creation all point to a Creator who made us with love and purpose.

Still, something’s clearly broken. The pain, injustice, and heartache we see—and experience—tell us this isn’t how it’s meant to be.

The Bible explains it: God made the world and created humanity out of love, to know Him and live in relationship with Him. We were made in His image, designed to reflect His goodness, love and purpose. Life was meant to be full, meaningful and good—just as God intended it.

But that changed. Humanity chose to go its own way instead of God's and that choice—called sin—entered the world. Sin broke our perfect relationship with God and brought pain, suffering and death. It separates us from the holy and perfect God and there's nothing we can do on our own to fix it.

The Bible also tells us about a real enemy—Satan—whose goal is to steal, kill and destroy. He's been at work since the first sin, trying to seperate people from God, feed lies into our hearts and pull us into patterns that harm and destroy.

Jesus says in John 10:10-

The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy: I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

The Good News is that God didn't leave us in our brokenness.

Out of His immense love for every single person, He sent Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins and rose again, defeating sin, death and the enemy once and for all. His love reaches everyone, no matter who you are or what you've done.

Through Him, anyone can be forgiven, healed and restored to God. This is a gift of grace—not something we can earn.

When someone places their faith in Jesus, they are made new, given purpose and invited into a lifelong relationship with God. Life won't always be easy, but God's love, guidance and presence are with them every step of the way.

  • Romans 3:23—For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

  • Romans 6:23—For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • Romans 5:8—But God shows His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  • John 3:16—For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

  • Ephesians 2:8–9—For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

  • ✨ Romans 10:9—If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

  • ✨ Romans 10:13—Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

  • ✨Hebrews 2:14—Because God's children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—Jesus also became human. For this reason He had to die so that His death might break the power of the one who holds the power of death—that is , the devil.

  • ✨Colossians 2:15—Having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

  • ✨1 John 3:8—The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.

  • ✨John 3:17—For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

So what does that mean?

You don’t need perfect words or a perfect past.

When you turn to Jesus with an honest heart, He meets you with love, forgiveness, and a new beginning.

It means being saved from sin and the separation from God that leads to hell—and instead, receiving new life and hope in Him.

When we turn to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and trusting that He rose from the dead, we receive redemption through His blood, forgiveness for our sins, true peace and a restored relationship with the God who made us—this is the hope I've found!

It doesn’t mean life becomes easy—but it means we’re never alone. His love carries us through, giving strength for the hard days and joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances.

And the resurrection? It really happened. Jesus didn’t stay in the grave—He rose again. Eyewitnesses saw Him alive, including over 500 people.

1 Corinthians 15:6 —

After that, He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living...

This was written by Paul, a man who once fiercely opposed Jesus and persecuted His followers. But after a life-changing encounter with the risen Christ, Paul was transformed. He wrote about these events just 20 or so years after they happened—while many of the eyewitnesses were still alive.

One important detail is that the first people to find the empty tomb and see Jesus were women. Back then, women’s testimony wasn’t highly valued. If anyone were going to make up a story, they wouldn’t have chosen women as the first witnesses.

These weren’t vague memories or secondhand stories — they were brave testimonies that people were willing to die for.

No one else in history has done what Jesus did. He offers eternal life, peace in the chaos, healing in the hurt, and a love like no other.

If that sounds hard to believe, I get it. But I encourage you to look into it for yourself. The evidence is there, and it’s worth exploring.

I shared my story to offer hope and encourage. There’s no judgment here. If you’re feeling lost, empty, or like something’s missing, there really is a better way. His name is Jesus. Saying yes to Him was the best decision I’ve ever made.

When you invite Jesus in, everything changes. Jesus is alive—and He's calling you into a life full of meaning, both now and forever.

And there's more—one day Jesus is coming back!

✨Before He left, Jesus said, " I will come back and take you to be with me." John 14:3.

We don't know exactly when, but we trust His promise.

The Bible says: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth... He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or sadness or crying or pain. —Revelation 21:1-4

This world isn’t how it’s meant to be. One day, Jesus will return and make everything new. There will be no more pain, sadness, or fear—only perfect peace and joy with Him.

This is what the Kingdom of God is like—a life and a future where everything is made right. It’s a promise for the future, but it’s also something we can experience now, as we live with God and follow Him.

That's what He invites us into—now and for eternity.

If your hearts been stirred, that's God reaching out. You don't have to have it all together. Just come as you are.

Wherever you are in your journey—whatever mistakes, struggles or doubts you carry—Jesus loves you. His love hasn't changed. He sees you, He knows you and He hasn't forgotten you.

If you’d like to talk to God or pray right now, you can. He hears you—right where you are, just as you are.

If you've never prayed before, that's okay. God doesn't need fancy words. Just speak from your heart. He already knows you, loves you and wants a relationship with you.

Whether this is your first time praying, you're coming back to God, or you just want to grow closer—He's ready to meet you right where you are.

🌼If you'd like to begin a real relationship with God, it starts by simply talking to Him. Just speak from your heart. He's listening.

You may have prayed...

And if you did, I'm so glad.

God heard you.

Whether you prayed along, whispered your own words or are still figuring things out, congratulations on taking this step.

A real relationship with God starts with a simple step like this. You don't need all the answers or perfect words—just an open heart.

If you prayed, know that God's love is real, His forgiveness is complete and because of Jesus, you are made new.

Talk to Him anytime. He's always listening and always with you.

The Lord’s Prayer is a great place to start.

It’s a short and powerful prayer that Jesus gave us when His followers asked, “How should we pray?” (Matthew 6:9–13).

If you’re not sure what to say when you pray, this helps.

You can pray it exactly as it is or use it as a guide to talk to God in your own words.
